Business Continuity Planner
Customer: National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is a Department of Defense (DoD) combat support agency and a member of the national Intelligence Community (IC). NGA develops imagery and map-based intelligence solutions for U.S. national defense, homeland security, and safety of navigation. NGA's mission is to provide timely, relevant, and accurate geospatial intelligence in support of national security. The NGA Vision is Know the Earth...Show the Way. Due to NGA's role as the GEOINT functional manager for the DoD and IC, there will be a number of organizations outside of NGA with requirements for FTEs utilizing this contract vehicle.
Position Description: Supports the Agency planning for mission assurance of operational and business functions. Interprets government regulations and applicable codes, and advises government management on the best course of action to ensure compliance. Develops and supports Key Components (KCs) information detailing emergency relocation plans for NGA’s Washington DC and St Louis MO work locations. Develops programs, procedures and contingency plans based on a risk approach and proposes solutions that monitor, evaluate and enable resolution of safety and continuity of operations compliance. Performs business impact analysis, risk assessments of essential functions and/or information systems. Oversees the development, integration, and exercising of contingency plans. Prepares and conducts briefings and overviews to educate Agency personnel. Prepares and submits position and information papers in response to government requirements.
