Facility Engineer
Customer: National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is a Department of Defense (DoD) combat support agency and a member of the national Intelligence Community (IC). NGA develops imagery and map-based intelligence solutions for U.S. national defense, homeland security, and safety of navigation. NGA's mission is to provide timely, relevant, and accurate geospatial intelligence in support of national security. The NGA Vision is Know the Earth...Show the Way. Due to NGA's role as the GEOINT functional manager for the DoD and IC, there will be a number of organizations outside of NGA with requirements for FTEs utilizing this contract vehicle.
Position Description: Provides professional engineering services in support of facility management, maintenance, and operation. Interact with other contractors, government personnel, vendors, and other NGA personnel to coordinate and accomplish major facility improvements and alterations, as well as oversight and support for facilities operations. Support NGA facility operations in CONUS and OCONUS areas, prepare and monitor construction and maintenance projects in support of NGA’s operations in CONUS and OCONUS. Develop and implement various engineering plans, specifications, costs estimates and designs for operations, maintenance and support required to maintain NGA facilities located in CONUS and OCONUS. Directing studies involving multi-disciplinary engineering programs for facility modifications, operation/maintenance and construction; directing studies engineering studies related to developing specialized facilities with unique standards; validating instructions for facility operations, maintenance, and repairs.
